fatal shooting of a man and his teenage cousin on a Jersey City street corner may have been a gang-related execution.Police found 26-year-old Lester Thompson and 17-year-old Mileak Richardson sprawled face down on the sidewalk at around 4 a.m. Tuesday. Both had been shot in the head.A neighbor reported hearing five shots and a car racing away.Hudson County Prosecutor Edward DeFazio said the attack was "clearly premeditated'' and money may have been taken from at least one of the victims.

Four Britons were being held on the Costa del Sol today accused of the shooting of a Liverpool man last month.Beachfront bar security boss Marvin Herbert was gunned down on September 24 at Puerto Banus, the millionaires’ yacht marina on the edge of Marbella.The 33-year-old was shot five times in the eye, the groin, pelvis, right leg and right arm.He was attacked in broad daylight by a lone gunman in front of dozens of witnesses.Herbert remains in hospital after a series of operations. Eight high-ranking gang members that make up the top leadership of a local chapter of the Latin Kings street gang were arrested on drug, assault and weapons charges, Suffolk County Executive Steve Levy announced Friday. Two others, believed to be gang "associates" were also arrested.The arrests come as a result of an investigation that spanned several months and included aggressive efforts from the FBI Long Island Gang Task Force and the Suffolk County Police Department Special Operations Team.Gang violence has long plagued several communities on Long Island prompting the FBI to recently boost its anti-gang personnel and add more agents to gang crackdown investigations.Among those arrested include Angel Cordero Jr. who authorities describe as the leader of the Huntington-area chapter.
