Arrested Sue Tou Vue, 27, of Yuba City, a validated member of the Menace Boyz Crew street gang, said Sutter County Sheriff's Department spokeswoman Brenda Baker.The incident started about 6 p.m. at Butte and Cedar avenues next to Sutter Cemetery when the deputy saw a speeding Toyota occupied by two men go out of control and into a ditch. While he was investigating, a second vehicle approached that appeared to have been following the Toyota, Baker said.When the driver of the second car was ordered to stop, two of the three occupants fled on foot. The deputy gave chase and caught Vue, who tried to reach for a handgun but was disarmed, she said. Vue was arrested on suspicion of carrying a concealed gun, possession of a gun by a felon, resisting arrest, receiving stolen property and criminal street gang participation. Jesus Freyre of the 1900 block of Evergreen Avenue was charged with aggravated battery with a firearm. The Class X felony charge automatically transferred Freyre to adult rather than Juvenile Court, Cook County prosecutors said.Assistant Cook County State's Atty. Ryan Whitney said Freyre was identified as the person who fired three shots at a car at Church Street and Sycamore Avenue in Hanover Park on Saturday, wounding the front-seat passenger, Whitney said. Freyre led police to an abandoned house where he had hidden the handgun used in the incident, Whitney said. Freyre was a gang member and believed the victim was a member of a rival gang, Freyre said. The 18-year-old victim was taken to St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates where he was treated for a gunshot wound in his left arm, authorities said.

Ricardo Richie Espinoza Jr., a Caldwell gang member, admitted in court this week he was involved in two Canyon County shootings on the same day in 2007.The 18-year-old pleaded guilty to two amended charges of aggravated battery. He was originally charged with attempted murder in connection with two violent attacks in Wilder and Caldwell that left two people injured.An 18-year-old documented gang member was sentenced to prison on Feb. 5 for his role in the firebombing of the Wilder home.Fabian Hernandez Olmeda was sentenced to 10 years in prison on a first-degree arson charge. Gypsy Joker allegedly shot the Newboys gang member about 8pm (CDT) yesterday, a police spokesman said today. The Newboys gang member, a 34-year-old man who is a past member of the Hells Angels bikie club, was among a group outside the Gypsy Jokers' home in Adelaide's north, the spokesman said. "There was a heated argument amongst the group and at least two gunshots were heard,'' he said. The victim was admitted to hospital with a gunshot wound to his arm and the 49-year-old bikie was later charged with attempted murder and possessing a firearm without a license.
